Evaluation of the National Practice Transfer Initiative (NPTI)

This evaluation focused on assessing the key achievements of the five National Practice Transfer Initiatives (NPTI), which were launched by URBACT in June 2021.

The NPTI was designed as a pilot programme to scale up the transfer of proven good practices to non-URBACT cities at the national level, delivered in local languages. These good practices were originally transferred, adapted, or developed within an existing URBACT Transfer Network (TN).

By undertaking this evaluation, we helped demonstrate two key functions of the NPTIs:

• Enabling the wider distribution of successful results first achieved in the Transfer Networks.
• Motivating non-URBACT cities to join these networks and participate in urban development cooperation in the future.
