Study on Macroregional Strategies and their Links with Cohesion Policy
Description:The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy contracted this study to evaluate macroregional strategies supported by European funds during the 2007–2013 period. The research analysed countries (both EU and non-EU) that requested participation in these initiatives. The study’s primary purpose was to explore the performance of the four existing macroregional strategies, with a specific focus on the the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) and the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR).
